The controller (English name: controller) refers to a master command device that changes the main circuit or the control circuit wiring in a predetermined order and changes the resistance value in the circuit to control the start, speed, brake, and reverse of the motor. It consists of a program counter, an instruction register, an instruction decoder, a timing generator, and an operation controller. It is a "decision making agency" that issues commands, that is, the operation of coordinating and directing the entire computer system.

The controller is a combination of a logic controller and a microprogram controller. Both controllers have their own strengths and weaknesses. The combinational logic controller is cumbersome to design and has a complex structure. Once the design is completed, it cannot be modified or expanded, but it is fast. Microprogramming controller is easy to design, simple in structure, convenient for modification or expansion. Modifying the functions of a machine instruction requires reprogramming the corresponding microprograms. To add a machine instruction, you only need to add a microprogram in the control memory. However, it is through the implementation of a micro-projection.
